Ernest A. Morales, SrJune 12, 1961 ~ June 7, 2017 (age 55)
Ernie was born June 12, 1961 in Glendale, California.
He was born to Geraldine and Luis Morales. Ernie grew up with
his mother Gerry and step-father Jimmie Lopez, and attended schools
in Altadena and Pasadena. As a child, he enjoyed tree climbing,
bicycling, and playing the position of pitcher in Little League Baseball.
He loved sports such as, fishing, biking, hiking, swimming, and, of course,
he loved watching the major leagues.
As a young man, Ernie worked for the Oak Grove Park in the Arroyo Seco,
Division of the USDA Forest Service with the Hot Shot Crew, fighting
forest fires. Later on, he was with the City of Pasadena Public Works Dept.
in the Parks and Recreation Division, Irrigation Section, and he was the very first Irrigation Specialist for the city.
He was also an incredible lifelong carpenter with skills that he learned from the
master carpenter, his step-father, Jim. He had his own handyman business,
and he took much pride in his work. He was loved by his clients and treated just
Ernie was a devoted father, son, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin and
friend to many. His sons and grandchildren were his pride and joy.
Ernest Anthony Morales, Jr. (Ernie) 4-27-82, Benny Morales 7-30-84
(Wife Tereza), and Jimmie Morales 10-17-85. His grandchildren are Noah
Gerald Morales 11-21-05, Bella Ruby Morales 9-1-07, and Kai Life Morales
6-22-15. Ernie was predeceased by his brother Anthony Gomez, and is
survived by his sisters, Eleanor Real, Gloria St. George, Sylvia Cooper,
and Nancy Morales. Also, he will forever be remembered by his many
nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts, uncles, and numerous friends.
