Joseph V. BuzanowskiMarch 4, 1952 ~ July 25, 2017 (age 65)
Joseph Vincent Buzanowski was born March 4, 1952 in Bronx, New York to Zygmunt and Eleanor Buzanowski. He passed away on July 25, 2017 at his home in San Fernando, California after a 4-month battle with cancer.
He served in the Coast Guard for 6 years right after graduating from Islip High School in 1970. “Joe B.” was well known as a Numismatist and highly respected in the precious metals and collectible coin industry for over 30 years. The last 2 decades doing work as a graphic artist in this same industry he was highly sought- after for his knowledge and love of collectibles. He was an avid “fish catcher”, an active member of the San Fernando Model A Ford Club and golfed in his spear time. Joe loved gardening and shared his vegetables with all and a few fortunate to enjoy his recent endeavor in canning his abundant fruit trees.
Joe is survived by his wife Laura, 4 children from previous marriage Sandra, JG, Jessica and Julie, in addition to 4 grandchildren. His parents precede him in death. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Following his wish of being cremated, a Memorial service will be held this Friday at the crematory chapel at 13800 Saticoy Street, Panorama City. Internment at the Riverside National Cemetery to follow at a future date to honor his service in the Coast Guard for which he was very proud of.
